You are inspired by what?

Jewelry designer, Gisele Ganne, is inspired by divorce and break-ups. She creates jewelry that symbolizes the inevitability of break-ups and new beginnings. Some may think this is a really depressing way to be inspired but I think it is genious. Ganne likes to refer to her pieces as mourning jewelry. I think buying a beautiful and pricey piece of jewelry is a fabulous way to forget about your wedding band or promise ring. A bare finger is only a reminder of what is no longer there. Diane Von Furstenberg once said that the most important relationship you will have in life is the one you have with yourself. I think what she means is that in order to build successful relationships with others, you must have a solid relationship with yourself.
