Reasons I need to go to Marrakech?
1: To spend an afternoon people watching in the Djemaa el Fna square where local acrobats, story-tellers, water sellers, dancers, fortune tellers, snake charmers, and musicians lurk.
2: Because at night fall the Djemaa el Fna square turns into an open air restaurant full of candle lit exotic meal options.
3: To be inspired by the Moorish architecture.
4: To eat with my hands on a picnic in the desert.
5: Because the magical and mystical La Mamounia hotel was renovated this past fall and is an interior design masterpiece thanks to Jacques Garcia.

Moschino Cheap and Chic A/W 2010: This is my obsession.
Black, white, gold, and leopard galore. I would buy this entire collection. How about that leopard hat with ears? I always wanted to attempt to squeeze into the little fleece baby hats with ears. I think I even bought one once just because they are so cute. My future kid is going to have to constantly remind me that they are human and not cute rodents. A knit leopard skull cap with ears would probably have a little more mass appeal. Regardless, ears on hats is such a great way for the big kids to channel their inner child. Hey Rossella, just introduce an entire hat line inspired by quirky animals. I want to see a bear, cat, rabbit, lion, mouse, etc. The leopard and studded combat boots are also so pretty. They could be dressed up with a body con mini or down with leggings. The guitar shaped purse is a fun idea but for the fabrication they should do their traditional soft quilted leather and add a huge gold "Moschino" logo across the front with gold embroidered guitar strings. Think 1980's David Bowie. Cool right? I think so.

Kind of skeptical at first, but now I think this looks like it would be pretty good.

Since I love all things Marcel Wanders, I had to share this.
Marcel says, "If you drink too much alcohol you may end up being as creative as I am."
Um, well then I guess I am going to finish the bottles of Bombay and Jameson sitting on my nightstand... don't ask.

Broken Social Scene is finally working on a new album after a hiatus since 2005. It is expected to be released in May but they released their first single titled "World Sick". If you like Radiohead, Phoenix, or Coldplay you may like them. Listen to it below. The second song is my favorite song that they have done called "Love Will Tear Us Apart". You may remember it if you saw "The Time Travelers Wife".

With all the snow hitting the northeast, I have warm coats on my brain. Next fall I will be in the market for a new winter coat and Burberry's fall coat selection is particularly lust-worthy. The first image of the pilot-inspired shearling+wool combo is my favorite. It's long, thick, effortless, and perfect for my daily routine of layering oversized clothing.

While at my parents house last weekend I was rummaging through the cedar closet where my mom keeps all of our families old clothing of sentimental value and I found this muff. I claimed what was once mine and decided I wanted to wear it again. I just took the cheap looking string that the muff hung from and sewed one of my old plastic Kenneth Jay Lane chains to it and voila!! Took me about 10 minutes and now it looks like I bought it at Bendels.
Spring 2010: Tips so you can start stocking up early. That way one big shopping trip won't be such a shocker for the credit card.
1: Nudes and draped items to layer and mix/match
2: Don't be afraid of prints
3: Stripes & slits
4: Sheer & mesh; not so much lace
5: Leather shorts and skirts
6: Denim accents & denim on denim
7: Clogs, brogues, and wedges!
8: Cropped, cuffed, silk/wool/jersey blend trousers
